FESTIVAL FETE
Diwali, which marks the start of New Year according to the Hindu Calendar is always a much awaited fete. This is one time when people meet each other and one tries to look their best. So, I have created 3 outfit ideas one may try this Diwali. The last one is my personal favorite though. Also, few essential tips so your Diwali outfit is different and not too much at the same time at the end!
LOOK 1:
This look is more like color play and not too much color. Here I have used a basic shrug and transformed it into a crop top, the palazzo is from Barmer and dupatta from Chauki Dhani. For accessorizing I have just opted for my DIY earings and basic black heels to just balance that black out!
LOOK 2: For this look I have altered the dupatta (also from Chauki Dhani) and took two skirts (one from Chauki Dhani and pink one from Pehr's closet) I adore a lot with Kholapuri Chappal's and spiral earings from Surajkund Mela.
LOOK 3: This one is how I visualized my saree. I wore a
knotted shirt and salvar then pleated my saree to form a halfway skirt then on
reaching halfway on back took pallu the original way. I paired this with hoop
earings and kholapuri’s. The cotton saree is my mom’s closet treasure.
TIPS!!
#1 Don’t mix too much elements; keep one high element and
other basic to drift attention to that one piece and not distract one’s focus
here and there.
#2 Keep makeup basic, liner+mascara+lipstick can get you
working but contouring though is trendy nowadays but already there’s a lot of
light around like duh it’s Diwali and that effect will come naturally.
#3 Accessorize in a way you create balance in your outfit, a
heavy neckpiece means a pair of simple earrings or fragile matha tika OR if
heavy earrings then no neckpiece shall keep you sorted.
